What does an Automation Engineer do?
An Automation Engineer uses technology to improve, streamline and automate manufacturing, energy generation, warehouse distribution, and many other processes to reduce the need for human intervention and maximise efficiency. They are responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring such technology.
Why we need you?
- Preparation and execution (in consultation with the production planning department) of periodic machine inspection plans,
- Implementation of technical solutions for the possibility of automatic reporting of production parameters – smart factory or similar solutions,
- Updating technical documentation of machines and devices,
- Participation in investment and savings projects,
- Maintaining order in the mind of the 5S idea in the workshop, spare parts warehouse and other subordinate areas,
- Meeting the requirements of BRC standards and ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards,
- Adapting the machine to safety requirements in accordance with regulations and risk assessment guidelines,
- Organizing the work of subcontractors in the field of automation, Conducting assessment of suppliers and subcontractors
Qualifications
- Technical University education - preferred field: automation,
- Experience in working in the maintenance department in a production plant,
- Knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens S7-300 controllers,
- High level of responsibility for entrusted tasks,
- Conscientiousness, independence, multitasking and flexibility,
- Experience in implementing SmartFactory, knowledge of Historian, Grafana, VantagePoint Portal is welcome,
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, power hydraulics and technical drawings,
- Support for MS Office programs - Excel, SAP, Coupa, etc.,
- Good knowledge of English (B2).
