Role Summary

An exciting role as a Sales & Service Manager, Greater China is now available within Sealed Air China. The position is located in Shanghai Qingpu site, and the role reports to Technical Sales & Services Director, Asia.

 

This successful individual will act as the leader for Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) under Technical Sales & Services (TS&S) team to support and develop Equipment, Spare Parts and Services businesses contributing to the growth ambition of Sealed Air Corporation. The team will cover scope of Food Packaging equipment, Strategic Fulfillment Solutions portfolio and Automated Packaging Systems portfolio.

 

As part of the management members, you will be managing and leading a team of people with specific function roles reporting into you, cultivate them to a highly performing engineering team. You are expected to meet customers /suppliers /business partners to understand the business landscape and bring necessary improvement to the Technical Sales & Services team.

Job Description

  • Managing and lead a team comprises of Service Manager, Technical Engineering Specialist(s) and System & Integration Engineer(s).
  • Execute strategy for achieving and growing revenue from Equipment & Automation, spare parts and services.
  • Develop and coach the team – ensure high commitment and adequate competency level through regular training, clear goals setting, monitoring of performance and high-level engagement with the team.
  • Collaborate and support Commercial team in promoting or proposing the right equipment / service solutions. Join customer meetings whenever necessary.
  • Develop / implement systems & integration philosophy to deliver complete solutions rather than just equipment.
  • Accountable for successful execution of equipment projects from quotation to commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance of all TS&S processes especially the After Sales Support SOP.
  • Contribute to service portfolio building, e.g. training materials, checklists creation etc. to strengthen SEE Academy capabilities in Asia.
  • Drive regional initiatives, e.g. equipment refurbishment, alternatives, localization, upgrades etc.
  • Act as the local interface to equipment business partners / suppliers for any equipment and engineering matters.
  • Improve accuracy of equipment master data, sales funnel, forecast and estimate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronic / Chemical) with min. 10 years' working experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or service-based industry
  • Demonstrated equipment experience preferably with packaging equipment & automation
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Proven communication skills, fluent in both Chinese and English
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experienced or comfortable with working in large matrix organization
  • Able to travel for short period of time especially within Greater China
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel and Power Point
