Job Description

 

The HR Generalist role acts as the implementation and execution partner to other HR professionals and business leadership in delivering the overall HR vision at the site. This position is accountable to deliver on short to mid-term initiatives, have the key focus of hourly recruiting for the Simpsonville site.

The HR Generalist role supports, implements, and executes all tactical aspects of the HR function, including but not limited to: Total Rewards (compensation, benefits, immigration & relocation); Talent Acquisition (recruiting, new hire on-boarding, orientation), Talent Management (performance management & development), Learning & Organizational Capability (performance management, training delivery & design), Diversity & Inclusion programs coordination, HRIS deployment, government & legislative compliance, employee relations, termination management, good will initiatives. This role serves as part of the front line team to support the site, the regional HR team and the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) communities.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree). High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Advanced degree, and/or certifications are a plus
  • Understanding of HR laws, principles and practices
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to perform independently at a high level, self-directed, self-motivated 
  • Proven ability to problem solve, work through issues with limited information, find efficiencies 
  • Computer skills - strong experience in Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. ATS/HRIS experience is preferable
  • Ability to manage and process a large volume of voicemail, telephone and e-mail communication on a daily basis
  • Demonstrated communication skills and follow-through! 
  • Formal presentation skills a plus.
  • Good leadership skills 
  • Hands-on recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified manufacturing personnel.
  • Acting as liaison with site clients; evaluating skills required for various job assignments and filling open orders in an effective and timely manner
  • Manage the offer development and presentation process, partnering with compensation, HR, and the Hiring Manager
  • Proposes approaches to alternative sources of applicants to fill open positions.
  • Evaluate candidates' strengths compared with hiring managers' requirements through evaluation and screening.
  • Develops a pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Responsible for coaching and training hiring managers on interview skills and competency assessments assuring that the process is EEOC compliant
