Job Description

 

Responsible for the production at minimum standard rate and yield of extruded film that complies with/exceeds current market quality needs while planning and coordinating all activities relating to the machine operation, material requirements, changeovers etc to assure full utilization of Rollstock Extrusion lines.

These 6 positions are for the Maize Line.  Initial Training and Operation of this line will be done on dayshift.  Once the line is operating on day and night shift, the shift structure will be the All 12's (6a-6p).  A Class.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Run Laminate Extrusion lines and other related machinery; startup and shutdown lines; obtain materials needed for shift
  • Perform QCs and SOCs for lines, formulation changes, size/shoe and gauge changes, hoist and lift inspections, completes control charts and production reports; make roll tickets for film; enter production data into computer  figure run down times
  • Check schedule and run correct order and quantity needed, complete scrap tickets and weigh scrap, check/change resin boxes as needed; when applicable check/fill dusters and assist with roll changes and palletizing; assist on other lines when necessary
  • Guides the attendant in the performance of his/her duties
  • Actively participates in the High Performance Work Teams while taking on a resource roles for one of the responsible areas: Quality, Customer Service, Human Resources, EHS/PFS, Lean/20 Keys, Process Improvement, TPM and Training. As a team member meeting continuous improvement objectives and ensuring the successful communication and performance of the teams are required and perform all duties as directed by management.

 

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extrusion experience is required; Rollstock Extrusion experience is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Computer knowledge and 1-2 years of Windows applications experience preferred
  • Radiation Certification preferred
  • Flexibility within a high performance work environment
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Able to work without close supervision
  • Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained
