Job Description

 

Primarily responsible for ensuring that each respective shift meet quality, productivity, and safety standards.  This role will also be responsible for meeting continuous improvement objectives and ensuring that operators are well trained and monitoring the performance of the team and taking appropriate actions when an individual or team is not meeting goals in safety, productivity, and quality.  To function as the Lead on each respective shift, providing more focused guidelines to resource role development, team communication, and overall team development.  **D Shift Opening** **Pay starts at $21.14/hr plus $0.50 shift premium**

Responsibilities

 

•    The Team Logistics Leader is responsible for meeting continuous improvement objectives and ensuring that operators are well trained.
•    Quality: Proactively take actions to minimize scrap, spoilage, customer returns, and direct teams to ensure that quality indicators are tracked and up to date.
•    Training:  Close the gap on training.  The Team Logistics Leader is expected to identify training gaps of individual operators and be able to utilize SPL’s (Single Point Lessons) to close these gaps.
•    Prepare and lead daily Tier 1 (AKA “Focus 5”) Shift production meetings.  Facilitate real-time root cause problem solving and ensure escalation protocols are followed (linking support functions).
•    Develop team maturity:  Coach and counsel teams through accountability matrix, motivate team to achieve goals, ensure effective team communication.
•    Assist management in assessing individual and team performance and development.
•    Support and champion business decisions.
•    Direct individuals and/or teams regarding immediate actions when necessary to meet Safety, Quality, or Productivity measures.
•    May recommend disciplinary action outside of the Accountability Matrix.
•    Perform other related duties as assigned
•    Function as a key communicator which includes both internal and external communications regarding critical issues impacting the department's performance.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent


Requirements:

Experience operating equipment in the target area preferred
Demonstrated leadership ability
Ability to drive improvement and meet productivity expectations
Positive performance and work history
Ability to hold others accountable
Ability to effectively direct the activity of others
Strong ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written)
Basic computer skills (primarily email and MS Exc
