Job Description

 

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

 

Responsible for managing the European Accounts Payable function through in house and third-party resources and driving strategies in order to accelerate cash flow by ensuring timely payments to vendors. The AP function also includes the T&E process.

 

The role requires a delicate balance by maintaining relationships with other departments while driving key finance performance metrics and needs to ensure the compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements and our Code of Conduct.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Managing in house AP resources and third-party outsourcing partner to maximize cash flow through timely, accurate payments and timely, accurate cash application. Achieving the set KPIs. Performing ad hoc and regular reviews with the outsourcing partner.
  • Establishing regional AP strategies in terms of timely, accurate and cost-effective execution. Decide the actions to achieve the strategy and KPI targets.
  • To contribute establishing company AP related policies/procedures and implementing policies/procedures in Europe.
  • Performing detailed analysis on all GR/IR balances and ensure timely action on all items is achieved.
  • Participating and managing regional and global projects.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Supply Chain, Supply Chain Finance and other departments' personnel to accelerate reaching KPIs, mitigate risk and maximize profitable business opportunities
  • Identifying/leading/conducting regional improvement projects.
  • Managerial responsibilities – will have 2-3 direct reports.   

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
  • 8 to 10 years relevant work experience in Accounts Payable. 
  • Financial knowledge to read and asses financial data
  • Accounting knowledge

 

  • Highest level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Fluent in English
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to lead, persuade, and influence
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills
  • SAP knowledge
  • Ability to travel
