Position Purpose
To help identify and implement opportunities to improve the safety of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
This position includes but is not limited to the following duties and responsibilities for manufacturing of Automated Packaging Systems AutoBag 500, 600 and 800, FAS, and Industrial Sprint Product Lines:
- Improve manufacturing efficiencies (rate, yield, uptime, quality) inside plant.
- Support Production by troubleshooting issues that arise.
- Work with ERP systems (SAP) specifically in creating Routings and managing ECR’s.
- Communicate regularly with product engineers regarding ECR’s and Routings.
- Work with Technical Documentation to create Work Instructions for Manufacturing.
- Stay abreast of new equipment / process developments in the field.
- Lead plant efforts in transitioning new products from R&D to Manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and identify solutions with data-based decision making
- Work with Quality Department in addressing process issues that impact performance of products in our customer’s plants.
- Establish work plans necessary to accomplish goals, track and report progress in comparison to plans.
- Execute Productivity Projects.
Qualifications
- Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
- Prior experience in equipment manufacturing preferred
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Be able to follow and give high regard to safety rules and housekeeping procedures.
- Knowledge of computer software, such as; SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel, and other software as necessary
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors, customers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Work equally well individually or in a team situation.
- Be able to follow and give high regard to both vendor and customer service
