Job Description

Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes through continuous improvement activities consistent with our strategic goals.  Responsible for the manufacturing engineering team’s achievement of all goals by prioritizing and monitoring activities, identifying, prioritizing and executing continuous improvement activities and sustain the positive results.More specifically:

  • Responsible to establish, implement, and monitor cost effective daily business processes for the Manufacturing Engineering Department including evaluating current production processes, assessing manufacturing abilities, and initiating and sustaining continuous improvement activities.   
  • Responsible to establish, implement, and monitor individual and team performance for the departmental employees. Identify, formulate, and implement the required employee training requirements to drive optimum staff utilization, performance efficiencies, productivity, and process improvements. Provide the departmental employees a clear understanding of performance expectations levels by conducting regular performance planning meetings that support and communicate the importance of the organizational vision, business plan, values, and individual performance accountability.
  • Responsible to manage, instruct, and ensure the accuracy of other manufacturing engineers through the use or creation of key business metrics that drive towards enterprise wide goals.  Provide management for application and pilot assembly, R&D model makers, and converting machine assembly associates to ensure timeliness on builds as well as uniform compliance to company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and coordinate manufacturing activities involving machinery performance, whether design or quality related, with operations, engineering, technical support, and/or field service, which may arise.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering 
  • Ability to read and compare blueprints and drawings. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal. 
  • Strong computer skills, MS Windows, Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience working with an ERP system.
