This internship will be based at the plant office in Streetsboro, OH. This will be an in-person internship, working on site five days per week full-time (40 hours per week). Company holidays provided include Memorial Day and July 4th holiday.
The co-op and internship program at Sealed Air provides students with challenging and impactful projects for their assigned business unit. Each co-op or intern is assigned a designated manager and mentor to assist throughout their experience. Interns and co-ops from multiple locations around the United States will share experiences and connect with each other throughout the semester. Additionally, the program includes professional development and networking opportunities with our leaders and senior executive team, cohort activities, social events, and a final presentation of your projects to senior leaders. Each session of the program is developed to be a project assignment. The participant will complete a formal presentation to higher level leadership about the outcomes at the end of each session.

Responsibilities
- Learn and develop software solutions for embedded systems
- Continuously learning and adapting to modern technical excellence practices/techniques
- Collaborate and regularly pair with other software engineers to cooperatively deliver results
- Learn and gain experience in our continuous integration and deployment techniques
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative in delivering a key milestone project
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Completed two years (minimum rising Junior) toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Able to provide own transportation to the internship/co-op location
- Proficient with C/C++ and low level hardware interfacing concepts
- Experience with high-level programming/scripting languages like Python or JavaScript
- Experience with Embedded software design, deployment, and testing
- Open personality toward pairing and collaborating among team members
- Experience with the following tools, technologies, or practices:
- Source Control Management (SCM) with Git or similar
- Basic hardware/PCB troubleshooting using DMMs and/or oscilloscopes
- Device interfacing via SSH and/or serial communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Linux operating system environments
- Microcontroller experience (e.g. Microchip, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc.)
- Soldering and prototyping skills
