What does an HR Generalist do?

Supports our German sites by pro-actively handling and ensuring of HR related activities and local/regional/global requirements according to best practice industry, company policy, regulations, and legal rules.
In addition, this position supports the People Experience Director Central Europe in local and international projects as well as in daily work.

Why we need you?

  • You will be the vital HR point of contact for our employees and their representatives, providing essential first-level HR support.
  • You will serve as the HR Business Partner, collaborating with key business stakeholders and contributing valuable HR insights and perspectives to our site management team.
  • Your role will include managing employee administration tasks, supporting payroll processes, and actively participating in recruitment efforts.
  • You will compile and prepare reports and spreadsheets, participate in cross-department HR projects, and support all HR-related activities for Sealed Air employees in Germany.
  • Your efforts will ensure the smooth running of local HR operations and uphold internal controls.
  • Additionally, you will act as a change agent, supporting local leadership and driving HR initiatives to enhance our business 


  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline.
  • Work experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of German working administration and employment law.
  • A dynamic and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to influence business stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about SEE customers, products, processes, and technology.
  • Very good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good command of English​
