Sealed Air is growing! We have immediate openings for ELECTRO-MECHANICAL FINAL ASSEMBLERS in our Ayer, MA equipment manufacturing facility. We are seeking creative, energetic professionals who will be responsible for assembling and wiring our industrial equipment. These are First Shift positions:  Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.  Starting pay is $22.00 - $24.00 an hour BOE. For reference, please click on this link to see one of the many products we build:

REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE, NOT LIMITED TO):

 

  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Assemble conveyors, equipment, and integrate sub-assemblies and sub-components
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and wire run lists
  • Wiring, set up, and adjustment of industrial equipment
  • Production startup and validates equipment
  • Work with engineering to apply modifications based on customer requests
  • Manage time to meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Build from verbal communication when prints are not available
  • Use crimpers and ferrules
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Build quality product without specified time frame
  • Follow SOPs

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in electro-mechanical assembly
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in mechanical assembly and troubleshooting; assembly of capital equipment preferred
  • Experience in the proper use of hand tools (i.e. torque wrenches, crimpers, drills)
  • Experience, understanding and knowledge of basic hardware (metric and standard)
  • Experience wiring
  • Knowledge of writing and operating PLCs and HMIs
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of co-workers to assure continuity in production
  • Ability to read, write and speak English is required
  • Goal oriented and self-motivated with a stable employment history
  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma concepts strongly preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Kneel, bend, twist
  • Ability to work under large pieces of industrial equipment on a creeper
  • Primary experience with PCB, cable harness, and soldering NOT APPLICABLE to these positions
