Summary
The Materials Services Processor I supports manufacturing operations by ensuring the accurate movement, storage, transaction, and replenishment of materials throughout the production facility. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, material availability, work order processing, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with ERP systems, and capable of supporting production through effective material handling practices.
Pay: $19 - $22
Shift: Morning
Responsibilities
• Create Bill of Material (BOM) kits for production assembly and outside processing using printed kit part lists.
• Process inventory transactions accurately within the ERP system.
• Verify that production Work Orders are complete, including material issue and labor transactions, prior to ERP receipt.
• Receive completed production Work Orders into inventory.
• Perform cycle counts for assigned stockrooms and inventory locations to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Stock materials in central stores and point-of-use locations as required.
• Move materials between various plant locations using material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Deliver Kanban cards to central planning to support inventory replenishment within production work cells.
• Fill material requests and process stockroom "window slip" transactions as required.
• Read and interpret shipping notices, work instructions, blueprints, and other specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and work to minimize waste throughout operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and best practices.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
• General computer proficiency.
• Experience handling materials in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Experience using ERP systems.
Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift operation experience (training and certification available onsite).
• Experience with Infor Visual Manufacturing, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
• Familiarity with blueprints and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
