Job Summary
As the Quality Manager, you will support the quality control process within the Bedford and Garfield production facility in support of the SEE Core Values. Provide quality technical support to all manufacturing functions as well as lead problem resolution for customer issues. Maintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement in all quality processes including Customer complaint database, corrective actions, returns, and test equipment.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead the Quality Control process for the production facility. Use Data analysis to develop continuous improvement projects. Ensure CAPA methodology for the customer corrective action resolution in conjunction with production.
- Issue, clarify, and resolve customer complaints regarding quality to ensure customer satisfaction. When appropriate, resolve customer product problems in a way that will maintain customer satisfaction. Maintain 30-day response to customer corrective actions.
- Support the ISO 9001-2015 process to achieve and maintain certification through the continual improvement of our standard operating procedures and our work instructions.
- Complete request customer specific documentation: PPAP etc.
- Manage the production facility calibration in conjunction with the Ohio Quality technician.
- Maintain and report data to provide process capability studies, quality reports, and employee quality performance records to drive quality performance improvements through the facility.
- Lead the site team of QA Auditors.
- Lead the execution of Food Safety system and Quality System to implement and maintain SQF certification.
Qualifications
- Knowledge – fundamental understanding of GFSI (SQF preferred) and ISO 9001-2008; familiarity of SPC, DOE, 6 Sigma, and continual improvement principles
- Skills – fundamental statistical understanding; excellent written and verbal communication skill; consensus management
- Abilities – ability to perform root cause analysis techniques; good problem solving skills; reasoning to look at both immediate need; ability to operate within the realistic capabilities of the facilities and organization; ability to provide direction to auditors across multiple shifts; fundamental mechanical aptitude a plus
- Education – BS Engineering, mechanical or industrial.
- Green Belt training
- Work Experience – 5 years in Quality role in the manufacturing sector.
- Willing to travel to customer sites.
