This role is based at our Sealed Air Canada head office and manufacturing facility located in Brampton, ON, and is part of our Product Care division. Our location produces lightweight foam, Jiffy lite bubble padded mailers, bubble wrap products, and other protective packaging products. Assistant Extruder-Operator

Reports To:     Production Manager


Job Location:  Brampton Manufacturing Facility


Shift:     Shift 3 (11:30pm to 7:30am)
Shift 3 premium is $0.85/hr added on to base hourly pay


Job Description: Learn all aspects of the bubble extrusion operation (plastic extrusion) and operate the bubble extruder as directed by the operator and management. The successful candidate must be willing to switch shifts in order to cover vacation, sickness, overtime or any other situation where it is deemed necessary by management. This position operates in a team environment and is required to assist others as necessary.

The successful candidate must be able to maintain the production, quality, safety and housekeeping standards.  It is mandatory that the candidate know, understand, and follow all Sealed Air’s policies that pertain to the Brampton manufacturing facility. 


  • The successful candidate will be mechanically inclined, demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and have a good work and attendance record.  
  • The successful candidate must be able to work on his own, including shafting and handling rolls up to 40lb. 
  • The successful candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The successful candidate must have basic computer skills, and a positive attitude.
  • The successful candidate should be mechanically inclined. 
  • The successful candidate must have a good work ethic and a good attendance record.  
  • The successful candidate should have strong English communication skills (listening, understanding, speaking, writing, and reading).
  • The successful candidate must be a team player and be able to work collaboratively with fellow employees. He/she must also be able to take direction. 
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
