Job Summary

 

The Associate Product Owner is a key role on the Digital Product team that will impact the pace and success of our global digital strategy. This role will be responsible for managing and advancing the product vision, product strategy for various digital products.  They will work closely with various stakeholders / business teams and development partners to discover and craft our next generation digital strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strong Customer Empathy and Digital Product knowledge and will help enable a world class digital customer experience for our customers. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and thrive on results-oriented delivery. They will work with cross functional team members, leveraging data and customer needs to drive key business initiatives in a B2B industry.  
The position reports directly to the Digital Product Leader and will be based at our headquarters in Charlotte, NC and/or can be fully remote if compatible with normal EST working hours.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Execute the product strategy, roadmap, and features for various digital products.
  • Support the creation and execution of new features. Includes justifying the business case, requirements gathering, technical analysis, story creation, delivery communication and overall process/business flows impacting the feature.
  • Partner with developers, their peers, UX team members and business stakeholders as it relates to overall roadmap delivery.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and with enough context and details, whether that be verbally or written via email with clear action items and focus on WHAT the customer is looking for.
  • Help to identify technical feasibility of requirements while calling out gaps and raising issues accordingly.
  • Support and execute methodologies and practices of digital product lifecycle management in line with best practices.
  • Plan and perform analysis of content management activities and/or functions and guides the subsequent design and implementation/improvement.
  • Form strong business and IT relationships with the different workstream teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal, Digital Marketing, etc. to facilitate idea generation and delivery of solutions.
  • Clearly defines and writes frontend (UX) and backend (component-level) user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Reviews and approves EPIC and Stories requirements based on product/feature strategy.
  • Maintain a deep understanding and knowledge in Agile development and help mentor others on product management methodologies.
  • Performs additional duties related to testing development in Stage, delegation, or execution of template-author responsibilities in Prod and maintaining live-site backlog

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in executing world class digital products
  • 2+ years’ experience in translating business strategy into specific product features from inception to delivery/maintenance 
  • 2+ years’ delivery experience in AGILE project management, business analysis, product marketing, e-commerce or product management 
  • 2+ years’ experience working with technology and user experience teams to define, scope, requirements and prioritize product requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in a large organization
  • Knowledge of human-centered design and a data-driven decision mindset

  • General understanding of frontend development html, css, and js is a plus
