Job Description

The Sealed Air Corporate Finance Internship Program is based out of our headquarters in Charlotte, NC. Our company is currently working in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to be on-site and work remotely during the week. The Charlotte campus offers multiple amenities including a coffee shop, bistro, gym, and more!

Our internship program is a great way to jumpstart your career at an international company. Our Corporate Finance team is comprised of multiple departments: Internal Audit, Treasury, Corporate Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Global Business Services, Tax, Supply Chain Finance, and Commercial Finance. During your internship, you will be matched with one or more departments based on your skills and interests.

Sealed Air provides students with challenging and impactful projects in their assigned business unit. Each intern is assigned a designated manager and mentor to assist throughout their experience. Interns from multiple locations around the United States will share experiences and connect with each other throughout the internship. Additionally, the program includes professional development and networking opportunities with our leaders and senior executive team, cohort activities, social events, and a final presentation of your projects to senior leaders.



Interns will become full time members of our Finance team for the duration of their internship. Your responsibilities may include, for example:

• Organizing and participating in team meetings

• Planning, leading and executing project work

• Preparing reports and presenting results to management

• Analyzing and auditing business results, processes and performance

• Actively developing and driving improvement recommendations based on your project or responsibility area

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

• Assessing internal controls, for example using COSO and Sarbanes Oxley frameworks

• Delivering a final presentation to the Finance Leadership Team summarizing your project and intern experience

• Understanding and applying policies, procedures and regulations


Required qualifications:

• Candidates must have completed at least two years, preferably three,  of undergraduate coursework in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related concentration


• Strong technical skills and familiarity with Excel (macros, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint and Word

• GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to lead initiatives as well as contribute as a team member

• Strong analytical skills

• Sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail and quality

• Effective prioritization and project management skills

• Ability to excel in a multi-cultural, fast paced environment

• Ability to work in the US (with sponsorship, if applicable)

• Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills

• Able to handle individual projects assigned with diligence and thoroughness 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with HFM, SAP, and/or Power BI a plus
