Position Summary

The Data Scientist is responsible for developing innovative, data-driven solutions, and managing the entire data lifecycle from collection to analysis. This role involves building and maintaining robust data pipelines, engineering structured and unstructured datasets, and leveraging front-end and back-end development to deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess domain knowledge and advanced technical expertise to guide strategic, data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Job Description

  • To address complex business challenges, design and develop comprehensive data solutions, including predictive models and advanced analytics.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, leveraging ETL processes to facilitate the flow of data for recurring and automated analysis.
  • Apply machine learning techniques and scientific methodologies to analyze large datasets and derive strategic insights.
  • Serve as a mentor to data analysts, fostering the development of advanced programming skills, modeling techniques, and domain expertise.
  • Manage and transform raw, unstructured data into structured datasets, enabling effective analysis and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies that enhance organizational performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Management Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proficiency in SAS, Python, SQL, and other programming languages relevant to data science.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools, including cloud-based and local applications.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools for process optimization.
  • Expertise in supply chain and inventory management; CPIM certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with integrated development environments (IDEs) such as PyCharm and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Prefer SAS Base Programming Certification.
