Job Description

The eCommerce Merchandising Operations Specialist is a key role on the eCommerce team that will impact the pace and success of our global web product strategy. The ideal candidate must possess strong eCommerce knowledge and be able to lead and execute multiple year projects. He/she is able to work in a fast-paced environment and thrives on results oriented delivery. This person will join a cross functional team going through the planning, build and delivery phase(s) and should enjoy solving complex customer problems in a B2B industry.

The position reports directly to the NAM Digital Commerce team and will be based at our headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

•    Partner on creating ideas and online product sales including driving new opportunities based on market and business rules for the eCommerce site 
•    Manage web “buyable” catalog for the eCommerce site
•    Execute the strategy for growing customer baskets online through product assortment, promotions, pricing and/or content and new revenue generation
•    Become knowledgeable in the digital customer journey, persona’s, customer segments and markets and an expert to how our product catalog, prices, promotions, content and technology tools impact buying behaviors online
•    Work with eCommerce Product Management Organization and other workstreams to understand and support the eCommerce & business strategies and offer innovative product value propositions, benefits or selling points.
•    Partner with Regional and Global Commercial teams to analyze product assortment and drive requirements for each product based on business rules, markets and commercial strategy including: Cross sell/upsell, Web buyable, Web visible, Pricing, Product recommendations, RTF, Product Lead Times, Product Attributes, product flags, Installation/warranties, Product specs, Product description, Spare parts
•    Conduct periodic competitive reviews to understand merchandising strategy of competitors regionally and globally.
•    Partner with Digital Marketing team to define A/B tests to conduct in support of ecommerce merchandising strategy and overall customer acquisition / retention
•    Collaborate with marketing team for creation of marketing campaigns and strategies to drive effective product mixes (new products, obsolete inventory offers), promotional banners, incentives, duration, and other business rules thru collaboration with the Commercial teams
•    Able to work in an agile, fast paced and start-up environment with frequently changing priorities.
•    Build strong cross functional relationships to build project support to achieve project milestones.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in managing product assortment data, pricing and other attributes in a PIM
  • 2 years’ experience in digital/eCommerce product management executing world-class digital products and/or experiences
  • 2 years’ experience working with technology and UX teams to develop product software requirements in an agile execution environment
  • Experience in executing business strategy into iterative product launches from inception to delivery/maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with leadership, business stakeholders and customers
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate data into action
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in a large organization and with remote teams
  • Bachelor's Degree, Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
