Job Summary

 

The Digital Software Engineer is a newly created key role on the Digital Execution and Delivery team that will impact the pace and success of our global Digital Delivery strategy. In this position you’ll be hands on and working with other software engineers in building our new AEM platform ground up. This will provide you a unique opportunity to gain experience and propel us in coming years of our business by creating these exceptional experiences.

 

The position reports directly to the FED Engineering Leader and will be based at our headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Full lifecycle application development of SEE AEM UI platform and maintenance using standard frameworks and coding standards/design patterns.
  • Coding, unit testing and debugging applications
  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
  • Document software code and ensure that technical documentation i.e. configuration guides, install guides meet requirements
  • Maintain standards compliance
  • Implement localization or globalization of software
  • Identify ways to improve the functionality and effectiveness of the UI platform
  • Work closely with senior developers to gain additional knowledge and expertise.
  • Proactively engage in the remediation of software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatch, and security issues related to the code/configuration
  • Stay current on new tools and capabilities in the market
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members and subordinates

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Web Developer in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years’ experience as an Adobe Experience Manager developer in current role
  • Experience with Adobe platforms. (Adobe Analytics, Launch, Marketo, etc.)
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React
  • Experience in SEO.
  • Experience with Cross browser development and testing
  • Understanding of SOLID principles
  • Use current standards of responsive, component-based web design and performance optimization techniques
  • Experience in Digital UX, Design and Development
  • Strong knowledge of ECMA Script, React JS, HTML, XML, CSS, and SCSS
  • Experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience with secure coding practices
  • Hands on experience in testing Web services/API testing using SoapUI/Postman
  • Experience using tools like WebStorm, VS Code, Postman, Git, JIRA, etc.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, time management, and task management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team and across functional groups
  • Ability to mentor and coach associates
  • Familiar with one or more of the following processes/methodologies: Agile, Scrum, TDD, Kanban, Continuous Integration and delivery
