The digital organization of Sealed Air is responsible for identifying, building and growing key digital transformation initiatives and customer facing products. Our SEE Shop eCommerce platform is an important sales channel across multiple business lines, geographies and partners. Due to aggressive growth goals for 2020 and beyond, our team is expanding. 


The eCommerce Merchandising Manager is a high visibility role on the eCommerce team that will impact the pace and success of our global product roll out strategy. The ideal candidate must possess strong eCommerce knowledge and be able to lead and execute multiple year projects. He/she is able to work in a fast-paced environment and thrives on results oriented delivery.  This person will lead a cross functional team through the planning, build and delivery phase and should enjoy solving complex customer problems in a B2B industry. 


The position reports directly to the Vice President of Digital & eCommerce and will be based at our headquarters in Charlotte, NC.




  • Owns the eCommerce P&L of online product sales including driving new opportunity for new generation based on market, business rules for the eCommerce site. 
  • Manage and own the web “buyable” catalog for the eCommerce site, while updating and maintaining the product information and attributes within PIM 
  • Build a strategy for growing customer baskets online through product assortment, promotions, pricing and/or content and new revenue generation 
  • Play a key role in delivering on the financial plan for each category (sales, units, margin)     
  • Become knowledgeable in the digital customer journey, persona’s, customer segments and markets and an expert to how our product catalog, prices, promotions, content and technology tools impact buying behaviors online
  • Work with Director of Product Management and other workstreams leaders to understand and support the eCommerce & business strategies and offer innovative roll out strategies to improve Adoption/Conversion on the site. 
  • Partner with Regional and Global Commercial teams to analyze product assortment and execute add/delete of items within eCommerce Product catalog based on business rules, markets and commercial strategy 
  • Responsible for designing strategies to meet the adoption and conversion goals while consistently trying to surpass the target KPI’s: 
  • While understanding manufacturing challenges translate into successful eCommerce product buying lifecycles 
  • Share key insights and recommendations about eCommerce customer behavior
  • Build reports and insights based on recent eCommerce performance data (sales, units, households, baskets, repeat, penetration, etc.)
  • Conduct periodic competitive reviews to understand merchandising strategy of competitors regionally and globally. 
  • Partner with eCommerce product team to define A/B tests to conduct in support of ecommerce merchandising strategy and overall customer acquisition / retention
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and workstream leaders to devise an merchandising strategy and gain alignment with vertical leaders on: 


  1. Roles and responsibilities

  3. Create microsites concepts and adjusting key personas as needed 


  • Collaborate with marketing team for creation of marketing campaigns and strategies to drive effective product mixes (new products, obsolete inventory offers), promotional banners, incentives, duration, and other business rules thru collaboration with the Commercial teams
  • Able to build comprehensive training plans and schedules for driving the adoption of Product catalog and PIM disciplines including establishing roles and responsibilities for Commercial teams. 
  • Develop and coordinate cross functional team to identify customer segments that can shop on SEE Shop, considering opportunity size, capability alignment, business rules and business strategies while considering an impactful addressable market. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert for revenue generation and driving increased customer adoption and conversion metrics on eCommerce site while devising product strategies. Oversee the successful delivery of product launches and work with the functional leads to learn the market segment for the product launch while identifying MVP features needed for roll out. 
  • Able to work in an agile, fast paced and start-up type environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Build strong cross functional relationships to build project support and meet or exceed project milestones. 




  • 7+ years’ experience in digital/eCommerce product management
  • 5+ years’ experience in managing and driving eCommerce strategy for product assortments, pricing and responsible for owing P&L 
  • 5+ years’ delivery experience in executing world-class digital products and/or experiences
  • 4+ years’ experience working with technology and user experience teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements
  • 4+ years’ experience in translating business strategy, and business alignment into iterative product launches from inception to delivery/maintenance 
  • 3+ years’ experience in an agile software environment
  • Experience with building feature Roadmaps Leading the digital product roadmap
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with leadership, business stakeholders and customers 
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate data into action
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in a large organization
  • Bachelor's Degree, Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Can work effectively with remote teams
  • Willing to travel 5% - 20% time.
