Job Summary:


This role is a key senior leadership role within the Global Total Rewards organization, responsible for the design, execution, and communications of Sealed Air’s executive compensation, equity and mobility programs. The role will report directly to the Vice President of Global Total Rewards and Organizational Effectiveness.


Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the overall strategy of the global Total Rewards and Organizational Effectiveness function.
  • Assessing and developing existing and new executive and equity compensation programs for competitiveness, effectiveness, legal and regulatory compliance, and alignment with shareholder interests.
  • Developing specific recommendations for review by Leadership and/or the Organizational & Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and developing recommendations regarding proxy advisor policies, compensation taxation and accounting changes, legislative changes, SEC rules and disclosure requirements; considering implications from various stakeholder viewpoints. 
  • Preparing meeting materials for the Organizational and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Leading reviews with the VP Total Rewards, Chief Human Resources Officer, Leadership, as well as the independent compensation consultant for the Board of Directors. 
  • Leading equity plan administration (through Manager), including new hire and annual stock awards, dilution and run rate trends.
  • Partnering with internal, i.e., Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, and external resources to ensure that all actions, plans, and programs on executive compensation, equity and mobility matters comply with internal corporate governance guidelines and external regulatory requirements and reporting.
  • Leading internal team in the development of the CD&A and related executive compensation components of the annual proxy statements; providing supporting data, documentation and information as required for other regulatory filings and internal audit reviews.
  • Developing and updating policies, plan documentation and communications relating to executive compensation programs and benefits.
  • Participating and supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, specifically those tied to social impacts, such as pay parity.
  • Advising management and human resources partners on related compensation and mobility matters; partnering with them to execute processes and procedures.
  • Providing support with HR-related elements of strategic transactions / acquisitions, including due diligence, especially regarding compensation and equity plans, retention programs, and employment agreements 
  • Leading global mobility support to international assignee population, immigration and relocation services including destination services, vendor management, and vendor tax support (through Manager).
  • Managing a team of two people.



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master’s degree or JD preferred, and CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation highly desirable.
  • 10+ years progressive experience designing and implementing compensation programs both domestically and internationally with a minimum of 5+ years focused on executive compensation. 
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience advising senior management and Boards of publicly traded companies on executive compensation matters.
  • Knowledge of US SEC disclosures related to compensation and equity programs, including registration statements, proxy statements, and other public disclosure documents.
  • Robust financial acumen and knowledge of tax, accounting, regulatory and legislative matters that impact executive compensation.
  • Familiarity with NYSE and Sarbanes-Oxley compensation-related requirements, and with international compensation governance and regulatory matters.
  • Detail oriented, able to analyze, and develop and execute solutions to complex legal issues, and comfortable advising senior management on high profile matters.
  • Knowledge of global mobility and relocation practices and procedures.
  • Experience with vendor management, mergers and acquisition due diligence, and integration.
  • Strong consultative skills and thought leadership in executive compensation with the ability to partner with the business to proactively provide analyses, recommendations and solutions. 
  • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills, a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and other team members.
