Position Summary

Sealed Air is seeking a driven data analytics engineer - project manager to support our efforts in tracking and reporting sustainability metrics and developing low carbon packaging solutions to meet our 2025 Sustainability Goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability, a strong background in data analytics and project management, and experience in developing sustainability packaging solutions. The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director, Global Sustainability Business Innovation. This is a hybrid position and the work location to be in Charlotte, NC, USA.

Job Description

•    Develop and implement data analytics tools and models to measure, calculate, track carbon footprints (aka Greenhouse Gas Emissions), recycled content, bio-based/renewable content, reusable %, and recyclability % of SEE packaging products offering.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop/offer carbon-neutral / low carbon packaging solutions.
•    Familiar with carbon credit, carbon offset and recycled plastic credit trading and platforms.
•    Manage sustainability projects related to the development of low carbon packaging solutions, including project planning, execution, and monitoring.
•    Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
•    Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely project delivery.
•    Monitor and report on project progress and provide regular updates to project stakeholders. Stay up to date on emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to sustainability and low carbon packaging.
•    Work effectively within a multinational / matrix managed organization

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, data sciences or a related field.
•    5+ years of experience in project management and data analytics, preferably in a low-carbon, sustainability, or packaging context.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Data management and analysis skills, including knowledge of key data management tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL etc.)
•    Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Experience with sustainability frameworks such as CDP, GRI, SASB, or TCFD.
•    Experience with carbon accounting or carbon credit projects.
•    Experience in the development of sustainable packaging solutions.
•    Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
•    Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment.

Additional Qualifications

•    Master's degree in engineering, environmental science, data analytics/sciences or a related field.
•    Project management certification such as PMP.
•    Basics Knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
•    Experience with mechanical / chemical recycling technologies.
•    Familiarity with carbon offset, carbon credit and recycled plastics platforms.
•    Experience in Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)
•    Must be proficient in Microsoft / Google Applications.
