Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled A/V Engineer to join our IT Modern Workplace team in Charlotte. This role involves managing and supporting audio/visual technologies and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) components across our global campuses and operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with A/V systems and a strong understanding of conferencing technologies.

Job Description

  • Install, manage, and upgrade Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) components and other conferencing technologies.
  • Provide high-level executive support during live meetings, including town halls and other significant events.
  • Support and maintain a variety of A/V technologies including, but not limited to, Yealink, Crestron, Qsys, Sennheiser, and Biamp systems.
  • Ensure global standards are met in A/V setups and manage consistency across all company locations.
  • Develop and deliver training to local technicians on Level 1-2 support for their A/V systems, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of A/V systems in various environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex A/V issues, providing timely and efficient solutions to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new A/V projects, from concept through to completion.
  • Work with our IT End User Experience teams to plan and coordinate standards and deployments for digital signage within our manufacturing facilities.
  • Review and coordinate SOW and planning for large-scale implementations for key flex rooms with vendors for install, implementation, and completion of efforts.
  • Maintain CMDB for inventory of conference rooms, Audio-Visual standards, and coordinate with our IT On Site support teams.
  • Teams administration for MTR components in Microsoft Teams Pro Portal

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of proven experience as an A/V engineer or similar role, with a strong background in managing conferencing technologies and A/V systems.
  • Avixa CTS certified
  • Expertise in Microsoft Teams Rooms configuration and management.
  • Familiarity with major A/V technologies such as Yealink, Crestron, Qsys, Sennheiser, and Biamp.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent project management skills to aid and plan global deployments, upgrades, and continued technology improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support global standards and implementations.
  • QSys Level 1 certified
  • MS-700 Certified
