Job Summary

 

SealedAir is currently seeking an experienced Instructional Designer/LMS Administrator to join Global Learning and Development as a part of the Talent Management team. This position will report into the Global Learning and Development Director.  This position is focused on creating a culture of strong values and aligning with talent management principles critical to building and sustaining a high performing organization. In this role you will have the opportunity to help build and influence a continuous learning culture, while driving employee engagement and transformation at a growing organization with 16k+ employees located globally.  

 

To be successful in this role you will need to be driven with an owner mentality, able to work independently and collaboratively, entrepreneurial in nature, manage projects/assignments through to completion, while looking for ways to continuously improve employee learning experiences. You will use your extensive experience administering Learning Management Systems (preferably SAP/SuccessFactors).  Using adult learning principles and content design you will use your expertise in instructional design to shape the employees learning expectations and experiences. Other key competencies that are required to succeed in this position include overseeing regional LMS Administrators, as well as the ability to engage as a subject matter expert with internal customers and vendors, effective communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. Responsibilities

 

Instructional Design

  • Working within the Global COE maximize time and resources by prioritizing according to strategic alignment with the TM strategy.
  • Establish and foster relationships with various SMEs and key stakeholders while working through HR Business Partners. 
  • Define learning objectives with key stakeholders to ensure an effective approach to and alignment with the broader development strategy
  • Gather requirements from a variety of source materials and SMEs through interviews, research and analysis and use this information to design and produce documentation and training content
  • Utilize feedback and analytics to inform content strategy, implementation and revisions necessary for maximum impact for individuals and the team as a whole
  • Establish and maintain design standards and document version control to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of learning content
  • leverage adult learning and instructional design theories to develop learning experiences
  • apply instructional design theories during internal customer consultations to determine the need, analyze requirements and develop content
  • leverage authoring tools (Articulate, PowerPoint, other) to develop SCORM based modules with knowledge checks and evaluations
  • develop content in multiple delivery formats including eLearning, virtual, face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous, infographs, jobaids

 

LMS (SuccessFactors) Administration

  • LMS administration and management activities
  • See to the success of the regional LMS Administrators and handle escalated troubleshooting as needed
  • identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, issues, and suggested enhancements as the LMS Subject-Matter-Expert (SME)
  • day-to-day operation and maintenance of the LMS 
  • implementation of system optimization (learning paths, certifications, banners, badges etc)
  • system troubleshooting and resolution, primary interface with HRIS and IT partners
  • user management including managing permissions, creation of user groups and learning cohorts, password reset and logon access issues
  • manage course enrollments and waitlist registrations
  • content management including uploading SCORM and non-SCORM content, create curriculums and learning plans
  • content assignment based on prerequisites, job role, compliance requirements
  • learning activity/campaign set-up, assignment, and administration
  • data management and reporting
  • perform activity/data audits and correct the data to ensure accuracy including deactivating activities
  • develops and maintains system support documentation, governance guides and system training materials (e.g. access instructions, job aids, quick start guides)

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience as an LMS Administrator and Instructional Designer (preferably SuccessFactors with an advanced degree in Instructional Design-or relevant year of experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in COE with HR Business Partners
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies, including HTML, SCORM
  • Strong interpersonal and consultation skills with the ability to develop and maintain key internal and external business relationships
  • Ability to act as the LMS SME, including providing recommendations on best practices on LMS functionality
  • Extensive knowledge of course design and development models and concepts
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while also organizing by priority
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Provide access to portfolio of learning products to demonstrate your skill in Instructional Design.
