Job Summary


The Manager, Content Strategy contributes to the creation of overall content architecture as well as the tactical work associated with assigned projects. This includes working cross-functionally within the Digital Growth & Experience (DGX) team and also with key partners at all levels across the organization to produce prototypes and content-related deliverables.


The content strategy team works on all digital platforms, targeting business and technical audiences within our broad product portfolio. Content drives the digitally connected customer journeys we are building, and we’re looking for a skilled, self-motivated, data-driven content strategist to help build and refine the content that motivates customers to take action. The Manager, Content Strategy will develop and execute global content strategies supporting all commercial segments. Success for this role will be defined by understanding business priorities, identifying content opportunities and target audiences, defining the content journeys that attract, nurture, inspire, and retain customers, and manage quality execution and delivery of the content. Your network will include field marketers, integrated marketers, regional marcomms teams, sales, engineering, and agency partners. Your day-to-day collaborators will be UX designers, content creators, product owners, developers, and digital operations managers.





  • Responsible for tone, style, content creation, content organization, and information architecture within digital experiences for Sealed Air customers and users
  • Serves as an advocate for corporate brand and tone
  • Organizes content through CMS, builds out content matrices
  • Writes and edits new/existing content for highly complex business requirements
  • Stays informed on best practices in a variety of content techniques, industry standards, and trends 
  • Leads multiple projects working across groups and within a platform/suite of digital products
  • Expert in content organization, content creation, and information hierarchy
  • Works independently and collaboratively to deliver quality, timely content, including strategy documents, content matrices, and digital content  
  • Consult, review content and provide feedback and direction to content creators on the team
  • Stay on top of digital trends, emerging technologies, and new tools to continually improve the team’s position as experts in digital content creation and strategy
  • Provides mentorship to more junior-level members of the content strategy team


Required Qualifications


  • BS degree in content strategy, marketing, communications, business, journalism, new media, or related field 
  • 5 years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, and editing
  • Portfolio of completed projects




  • Ability to clearly articulate and visually represent complex ideas
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain brand and voice consistency across channels
  • Excellent relationship-building skills complemented by the proven ability to work with others, especially across team boundaries and functions
  • Experience collecting and analyzing customer feedback and user testing results
  • Experience working in a corporate environment at an enterprise level
  • Strong leadership, creativity, critical thinking, and planning/execution skills
  • Intellectually curious, strong attention to detail, self-motivated
  • Experience working within a content management system (AEM preferred)
