Position Summary
The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for providing senior management with the Company’s monthly financial performance, coordinating the financial rolling forecast process, analyzing variances versus operating plan and prior year, conducting profitability analysis, and working on special projects as required. This position also plays a major role in supporting the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process.
The Manager of FP&A has a team of 1 - 2 finance professionals and is responsible for their career development. The role reports to the Finance Director of FP&A.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a project team environment and must be a team player with the ability to influence others towards the successful completion of group objectives. The ideal candidate must be skilled in recognizing and implementing process improvements and able to set priorities and create a work plan to facilitate the group’s achievement of these objectives.
Job Description
• Ensure the timely and accurate issuance of the monthly reporting package to Senior Leadership
• Manage the continued development of monthly reporting & analysis to the Senior Leadership Team for the monthly Executive Operational Review
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and Adj. EBITDA. Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
• Coordinate the accurate submission and analysis of the components of sales (price/mix/volume) of the Company’s product lines and segments
• Partner with regional and functional finance leaders to timely deliver accurate analysis of Adj. EBITDA variance drivers to Senior Leadership
• Lead the development, coordination, and management of the Company’s monthly rolling forecast.
• Support business partners by creating and managing tools used by business partners to drive efficiency in the monthly rolling forecast process
• Prepare reporting and analysis to support the quarterly earnings release or as requested
• Provide support in the creation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives on Corporate FP&A processes through collaboration with the Regions and Functions
• Drive business goals, support cost reduction initiatives, and implement process improvements
• Support and lead special projects as required
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field required; MBA/CPA preferred
• 5+ years finance experience, FP&A and operational analysis experience preferred
• System proficiency including OneStream, Hyperion Smart View, SAP, BIA, and/or Power BI
• Excellent analytical and project management skills
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles
• Collaborative team player and critical thinker
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization
• Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment; able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines
