Summary

The Sealed Air Equipment Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and bright Mechanical Engineer to join our Innovation & Development (I&D) organization.  As a member of this team, you will work closely with fellow engineers to design and develop packaging equipment for the food industry.  This role will enable you to drive equipment development projects through all stages of the process: project conceptualization, planning, design, manufacturing, in-house testing, documentation, and support.  As an engineer on this team, you will have the opportunity to expand your technical knowledge as you interface with technicians, chemical engineers, scientists, and Manufacturing, and strengthen your business acumen as you partner with our Sales and Marketing groups. 


 
 

Qualifications
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field  
  • 2+ years of relevant product or equipment development experience 
  • Broad technical knowledge and hands on experience in functional area(s) 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet technical challenges with creative and innovative solutions 
  • Exceptional problem solving and mechanical design abilities 
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD Design (SolidWorks experience preferred)  
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a work ethic that corresponds with SEE’s core values 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
