Job Summary

 

Sealed Air has embarked on a journey of digital transformation which will impact all areas of our business and fundamentally change how we operate and deliver value to our customers.  We will utilize the latest digital technologies to improve customer experience and drive sales while increasing efficiency and improving profitability.  To this end, establishing a centralized system for Product Information Management (PIM) is a vitally important step in the execution of our digital roadmap.  

 

To spearhead this effort, we are creating a new position reporting to the Global Marketing Operations Leader within the Global Strategic Marketing Team.  The new position of PIM Leader will be based out of our headquarters in Charlotte, NC with flexible and 100% remote work options available.

 

The primary role of the PIM Leader is to establish a central database of product related information.  Once established, this position will be a primary driver to collect, manage, govern, and enrich product information and content for distribution to marketing, sales, and eCommerce channels globally.  The goal is to create an engaging product experience and successfully sell our products across multiple sales and marketing channels.  The PIM Leader will also drive operational efficiency in how product information is shared across Sealed Air. 

 

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of current practices in digital product information management, understand PIM platforms and be able to lead/execute the implementation effort at Sealed Air.  He/she must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and thrive on results-oriented delivery.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide valuable input into the scope and design of the PIM platform working with internal IT resources and external vendors; drive the integration of multiple ERPs, PLMs, and DAMs into a single PIM platform
  • Own the implementation, management, and governance of the PIM platform and ensure the integrity of the organization’s master product data systems; facilitate the continued enhancement and cleansing of product data in all systems of record globally
  • Work across Sealed Air’s global organization to optimize our product information and related product materials 
  • Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and improve data quality
  • Oversee business processes, applications, and technology needed in response to the changing business needs
  • Build comprehensive training plans and schedules for driving the adoption of the new product information management process 
  • Act as a subject matter expert on all matters related to product information management
  • Partner with eCommerce merchandising, as well as regional and global commercial teams, to analyze product offer and to drive increased up selling, and cross selling opportunities through enhanced product information and images on our new eCommerce platform

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, statistics, marketing, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in product information management as a PIM analyst, PLM analyst or business systems analyst
  • Experience with product master data management
  • Project management and/or software implementation experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify issues and self-start programs to address
  • Attention to detail
  • Tech savvy
  • Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Can work effectively with remote teams
