Senior Business Analyst -Deal Management

Job Description

 

This position works primarily with the Marketing and Portfolio teams to provide analysis of deals and recommendations for generating the best contracts for the company. This includes putting together multiple scenarios of P&Ls, helping to calculate and document the value we bring to the customer, formulating and administering index pricing, writing contracts and tracking for compliance along with analysis of how each different scenario will affect our company. This position facilitates meetings that drive our value discovery, RFP submissions and continual improvement of our Deal and Offers. The use of BI, SAP, Vendavo, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word will all be used for analysis and presentations.

 

Strategic Pricing and Platform Partnership
Strategic Pricing Partner to Marketing platforms and supports all elements of strategic pricing support across Marketing, I&D, Sales, and Supply Chain.

  • Exploring and leveraging different price models
  • Establishing and setting pricing strategy, margin targets, discount philosophy
  • Cost-side relationship management, communication, and knowledge sharing
  • Market and competitive intelligence and analysis
  • Platform profitability and revenue optimization analysis

 

Customer Profitability and Analytics

  • Contract and renewal management
  • Deal compliance management
  • Formula and index pricing management
  • Strategic and “big deal” management and construction support (analysis, proposal, negotiation support)
  • Bid and RFP coordination, analysis, and support (including post-mortem and trends)
  • Existing customer profitability optimization through deal funnels and surgical analysis
  • Customer segment/tier profitability optimization and management

 

Pricing and Platform/Portfolio Analysis – Roadmap and Strategic Problems

  • Intake – Problem clarification, analysis objective
  • Execute – Pull data, perform analysis
  • Report – Provide/suggest insights and conclusions
     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 – 5 years of relevant experience are required.
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and have strong analytical skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of our product lines and business preferred. 
  • Must be able to work with and lead a team. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
