Job Description


The Senior Manager Regional Portfolio Food Equipment & Automation role will be responsible for effectively managing the Food equipment and automation product line portfolio to achieve profitability targets based on go-to-market strategies, innovative product development, product quality leadership, market launch success and supply chain management. The primary role includes significantly improving the timeline of introducing new products from the idea to the launch, building a collaborative portfolio/product management function that works well with the other teams in the business unit and functional areas; and be a key member of regional and global Food Platforms and E&A teams to help drive additional market share and position the company for the next level of growth.  Through strong interactions with Food Platforms and Food E&A marketing and I&D, this role will own the roadmap for existing and future products for the E&A Food portfolio that will enable reach sales targets while optimizing operating income.  This individual will have P&L responsibilities and accountability and will establish working principles that emphasize operating cash flow management.    


  • Plan, organize, and lead the successful execution of sales growth and product development strategies for the assigned product line. Lead the interpretation of Platform growth strategies into portfolio management operating plans and effectively deploy key elements of the plan.
  • Lead the Portfolio responsibilities for the Integrated Business Process (IBP) for the Food Equipment.
  • Drive alignment within regional operations teams to manage capital requirements, working inventories, and all projects to achieve cash flow objectives.  Will serve as the primary interface with I&D, Food Platforms and Supply Chain functions in the portfolio development stage-gate process.
  • In conjunction with Food Platforms, drive product planning process from concept to ship, producing business requirements documentation for all products, and work with engineering, documentation, QA and all other groups to manage risk and deliver customer solutions.
  • Responsible for organizing cross-functional development teams, selecting project champions, and guiding these teams through the new product development and innovation process, commercial scale-up, and launch implementation phases. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and rationalize product (SKU) offerings, and then socialize these continuous improvement opportunities with the key stakeholders and effectively implement.
  • Responsible for margin management in partnership with sales and sector management.
  • Develop and set product definition, assure that requirements are accurate in order to maximize opportunities for Sealed Air, and successfully lead the execution of all product strategies for the business unit’s suite of products
  • Develops roadmap, linking region’s short-term plans to longer-term product line strategy, ensuring everyone has clear transparency and visibility of the linkage to the overall global Food Platform plan, products and initiatives. 
  • Curates best practices, trends and industry insights to share with the Organization
  • Identifies, nurtures and pursues strategic industry alliances and partnerships with downstream customers, associations, government agencies, universities and research firms



  • BA/BS degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in portfolio management, marketing or business development within food, beverage or packaging industries 
  • Business-minded problem solver, experienced in white space analysis, business case development and financial analysis
  • Proven history of driving innovation and strategic market development in both mature and emerging economies
  • Collaborative individual who attacks work with drive, energy and shows demonstrated experience in driving growth programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, such as consensus building and facilitation
  • Ability to travel internationally; up to 25% travel
  • Ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external colleagues, customers and partners 
  • Ability to clearly articulate value and serve as the industry SME, both internally and externally
  • He/she must be innovative, creative and entrepreneurial in their approach to understanding the market, recognizing opportunities and envisioning strategies for growth
