Senior Tax Analyst

With supervision from the Tax Manager, this position will assist on specific income tax functions including Federal and State tax return compliance.  This includes conducting research to determine the proper tax treatment of certain transactions, as well as its proper treatment in accordance with federal and state income tax statutes.  This position will assist with other ad hoc tax projects, as considered necessary.


•    Assist with the preparation of Federal and State income tax returns.
•    Provide support for financial statement audit requests.
•    Prepare annual federal and state income tax extensions including supporting workpapers 
•    Prepare quarterly income and annual franchise tax estimate calculations and vouchers including supporting workpapers
•    Review fixed asset additions on a monthly basis which are maintained by the accounting team for the appropriate tax treatment.  Knowledge of the SAP fixed asset program a plus.
•    Establish and build effective and productive relationships within the accounting and finance departments, as well as other departments within the organization.
•    Coordinate with internal departments and third-party providers to obtain and provide information timely.
•    Assist in the gathering of data, as well as responses to Federal, State and local income tax audits and notices.
•    Assist with annual income tax provision calculations and documentation.
•    Maintenance of Federal and state attribute schedules.
•    Perform monthly reconciliations of income tax general ledger accounts in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
•    Conduct research as needed to properly document tax positions
•    Oversee the annual report filing and tracking processes.  Assist in the development of a process for routinely ensuring that all entities are in good standing.


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
•    2-5 years tax accounting experience; some public accounting experience preferred
•    Verbal and written communication skills that are clear, concise, and organized
•    Demonstrated ability to apply accounting and tax principles to daily work; comprehension of US GAAP and various tax laws
•    Intermediate research skills and knowledge of tax and accounting research software such as checkpoint
•    Self-sufficient and highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and project manage workload
•    Support team approach to achieving organizational objectives and promote a positive work environment
•    HFM and SAP ERP experience is a plus
•    Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
•    Corptax tax preparation software experience is a plus
