Position Summary

The Tax Analyst assists with all things related to the US Federal & State Income Tax matters.  This role will report to the Executive Director Tax Accounting & Domestic Tax.

Job Description

•    Tax Return / Compliance
             o    Liaise with third party provider to supply data for completion of US corporate income tax return as well as US state income tax returns
             o    Review portions of income tax returns prepared by third party
             o    Prepare tax adjustments to federal return
             o    Prepare state modifications and state apportionment
             o    Assist in managing notices from taxing jurisdictions
             o    Calculate quarterly estimated and extension tax payments (Federal & State)
             o    Perform cash tax payments
             o    Perform research as needed
•    Year-end Provision
             o    Prepare federal adjustments as assigned (including deferred proofs) in accordance with ASC 740
             o    Prepare state modifications and apportionment
             o    Track federal and state tax attributes
             o    Track state tax payables
             o    Reconcile cash tax accounts in ERP system
             o    Assist in administrative actions in Provision software
•    Tax Audits
             o    Assist with both US and State income tax audits as necessary
•    Tax Planning
             o    Assist with tax planning related to US federal and state tax opportunities
             o    Proactively monitor both pending and enacted US federal and state tax legislation
             o    Manage special projects as identified

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0-3 years of experience in US Corporate Income Taxation

Additional Qualifications

• CPA preferred
• Strong Microsoft product experience – particularly Excel
• Experience with technology around data mining/extraction tools
• Experience with ERP systems and Consolidating software
• Excellent analytical skills, with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
