Position Summary

The Sales Support Assistant will coordinate and facilitate the sales process, assisting in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts, and supporting various tactical initiatives. Work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment, possess excellent organizational skills, and be passionate about ensuring the seamless execution of sales operations.

Job Description

Sales Process Support

  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to coordinate and facilitate the sales process.
  • Work in tandem with Field Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales Operations to streamline and enhance the efficiency of the sales workflow.
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination between different departments to meet customer expectations.
  • Assist sales representatives with preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Manage and track sales opportunities from lead generation to closure, ensuring that all necessary documents and follow-ups are in place.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to optimize the sales pipeline and ensure a smooth workflow.

Sales Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to track sales performance, opportunities, and trends.
  • Analyze sales data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies and performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales databases in the CRM system.
  • Administrative & Operations Support
  • Assist in supporting tactical initiatives related to rebate and credit issues.
  • Coordinate presentations between sales teams and clients.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as managing sales documents and filing paperwork.
  • Support sales manager and leaders in organizing events, programs, and other sales-related activities.

Training & Development

  • Assist in onboarding and training new sales team members by guiding systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to effectively support the sales process and provide valuable insights.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Teams
  • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts and a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure the correct solution and service offering is communicated to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in an interdependent team environment with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to interpret sales metrics and perform data entry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, highly organized
  • ERP and CRM experience preferred, especially C4C, SAP, and BIA.
  • Customer Service experience is a plus
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Skilled at multi-tasking
