Job Opening: Production – Chemical Filling Processing Operator
Sealed Air is seeking a driven, manufacturing professional to fulfill our current opening, a Chemical Processing Operator. The position is located in the Danbury, CT, Facility. The qualified candidate will play a key role in supporting the processes that produce the Instapak Chemical products. This position will be in a fast-paced environment with daily responsibilities in support of our manufacturing group. The qualified individual will be responsible for daily activities required to process InstapakÒ chemical finished goods products. The ability to handle multiple tasks, working in a team environment will be critical. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.. Salary range is $24-30 Based off of experience.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Manage daily work assignments, schedules-daily planning of work activities, housekeeping/ 5S, shift handover, meetings as assigned.
Administrative activities including documentation, production reporting and performance management activities. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills/team player.
- Focus on safety and product quality- with emphasis on core values- demonstrating an owner mentality, customer obsessed, agile with adversity and never totally satisfied attitude and approach.
- Ensure supplies and consumables requirements for daily production are supported.
- Inventory accuracy and accountability.
- Operation and updating of the container filling process control computer systems. i.e. - SAP/ PIC./SCADA controls.
- Set up and Filling of InstapakÒ chemical products, including operations of automated computerized filling associated process equipment to fill finished product containers.
- Routine and preventative maintenance
- Material handling- warehouse organization and activities. - Forklift experience necessary.
- Work in a safe and orderly manner while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Additional duties as needed to meet business needs and goals.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified candidate should have a minimum of three years’ experience in a Chemically related manufacturing environment and/or Individual should possess a degree in a chemically-related field, with computer experience, mechanical aptitude and interpersonal skills a must.
- Basic computer skills- Data entry–SAP/ word/ excel/ power point skills preferred. SCADA experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles with a core understanding of such.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime as business needs dictate.
Hours: 7:30am a.m. – 4:00pm p.m.
- This is a full-time hourly position, available immediately. Compensation will be competitive based on qualifications and experience Danbury facility operates on a 37.5 hrs. /per week.
