RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Responsible for managing and directing the Quality Assurance system for multiple manufacturing facilities in the Northeast region
•    Perform as lead in an effective Quality Management Team/System and champion continuous improvement activities to raise the performance of the business unit’s product lines
•    Educate and train employees as to their impact on the quality management system
•    Direct management and overall team leadership of staff in a Performance Management System (PMS) setting
•    Provide strategic direction and leadership for quality systems implementation for the facilities leading and directing the Quality Assurance functions with a focus on continuous improvement and harmonizing systems
•    Provides guidance in the analysis and scheduling of work and deployment of resources
•    Ensures equipment is maintained and resources are utilized in the most cost effective manner
•    Responsible for maintaining and calibrating all laboratory equipment to industry standards
•    Promotes systematic analysis to resolve complex production and quality issues
•    Develop, implement and document standard operating procedures and conditions for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
•    Establish and implement metrics (process capability, process control charts, quality measurement) for monitoring system
•    Collaborates and coordinates activities with plant management, quality and other colleagues to address production issues and ensures quality standards are maintained
•    Provides sales and marketing teams technical support
•    Acts as liaison with vendors and Research and Development for qualifications of raw materials and introduction of new products
•    Interfaces with production, suppliers and customer quality representatives concerning issues with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented
•    Work synergistically with other functional leads across operations teams in region of responsibility
•    Manage Quality Training Programs ensuring ongoing education of staff and the dissemination of information regarding quality-related issues through the induction of new staff
•    Pinpoint quality-related training needs
•    Work closely with process engineering and operation/production employees 
•    Lead, implement, and maintain 5S standards for labs and sites; maintain chemical hygiene program in an effective improvement-based culture 
•    Maintain a clean, safe work environment 
•    Communicates, coaches, and subsequently reviews performance of quality technicians in achievement of the key process indicators (KPIs)
•    Hire, train, develop, and evaluate employees 
•    Mentor site Quality Technicians
•    Conduct performance reviews
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in science, technical/engineering, statistics, analytical or business, required 
•    5+ years’ experience in QA Systems implementation and management in a manufacturing environment
•    5+ years’ experience in a leadership role at a manufacturing facility
•    Experienced with Polyurethane, preferred
•    Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with Lean implementation experience, preferred
•    Experienced in successfully leading the Quality System function; in a multi-site environment, preferred
•    High level of understanding with all related testing equipment
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Strong organization and communication skills based on Core Competencies:  Owner mentality, Customer Obsessed, Never Totally Satisfied Attitude, and willingness to approach job functionality with agility through adversity strengths 
•    Willing to learn and demonstrate can-do attitude and to perform hands-on duties
•    Able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal guidance from management
•    Able to read, write and speak English with excellent verbal and written skills
•    Proficient in software:  Minitab (or other analysis tool), SAP, MS Office, MS Outlook and MS Teams
•    Polished presentation and facilitation skills
•    Legally employable in the United States
•    Able to travel up to 20% for facility visits to meet business needs
