Job Description
- Responsibilities include grinding, polishing, media blasting, sanding, steam cleaning, and deburring components.
- Strict adherence to PESC safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical components.
- Ability to operate hand grinders (pads, disc, belt).
- Ability to operate pedestal grinder.
- Ability to operate handheld buffing flexible shaft machine.
- Ability to operate polishing and buffing lathe.
- Ability to operate blast cabinet and portable device.
- Ability to use manual machine tools such as: lathes, drill presses, grinders, and thread tapping machine.
- Ability to operate steam cleaning machine.
- Ability to set up and operate deburring machine.
- Ability to determine material gauge and type.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- * Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year experience in metal finishing preferred.
- Flexibility and the skill to multi-task are a must.
- Proficient computer skills: navigating software using mouse and keyboard.
- SAP experience preferred: basic functional knowledge; logon, navigation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
