Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer is a key member of the Liquibox Engineering Team and will report to the Engineering Manager. This position will focus on project-based tasks, equipment support, and product development. 

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
•    Review mechanical drawings to be released for production while preserving company standards
•    Produce models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and EPDM
•    Development of mechanical and pneumatic subsystems
•    Generate Engineering documents including product specifications, bill of materials, and product manuals
•    Create or modify plant layouts
•    Work with various disciplines within and outside the Equipment, Parts and Service Team
•    Interact with outside vendors to source parts
•    Create assembly instructions
•    Other projects and tasks as assigned 

Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

 

Experience:  Minimum 5 years’ experience designing automated equipment.

 

Specific skills: Experience with FDA and 3A regulations in machine design, experience with geometric tolerancing and stand of drawing practices, self-motivated, detail oriented, ability to work well within a team.  

 

Computer Experience & Software: Expert in 2D & 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, EPDM, AutoCAD), proficiency in Microsoft Office.
