Job Description

 

This person is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and archival of the technical manuals for equipment manufactured by PESC as well as OEM equipment for resell. This person will manage contractors and coordinate with the PESC Engineering department to produce technical illustrations and documentation required to produce these manuals. This person will also aid the PESC Engineering groups in producing training materials.
 

Responsibilities

 

  • Creation, maintenance, and archival of technical manuals for equipment manufactured by PESC.
  • Creation, maintenance, and archival of technical manuals for OEM equipment resold by PESC. 
  • Production of equipment manuals for orders.
  • Manage a full-time contractor. 
  • Meets with engineers, programmers, and project managers to learn about specific products or processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience with desktop publishing software
  • 3-10 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently 
  • Proficiency in using and supporting a wide range of computer applications used by Sealed Air including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, CAD, Adobe Illustrator, FrameMaker, SAP, and document management systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering CAD and technical documentation.
