What does an Executive Director, EMEA Planning do?

An Executive Director Planning/IBP leads the supply phase of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring collaboration among finance, sales, portfolio, and supply chain teams to meet business objectives. They provide strategic, financialized insights to guide decisions on supply chain risks, portfolio opportunities, and overall business performance. This role involves defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production adherence, service levels, inventory, and costs, while also aligning global processes and data structures. Additionally, the Executive Director fosters close collaboration with sales teams and customers to improve demand plan accuracy and oversees business continuity planning and material master data management to support effective decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Supply Chain Experience: Proven track record in leading end-to-end supply chain planning, particularly in production and material planning.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification: Green or Black Belt certification demonstrating expertise in process improvement.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Strong ability to partner with various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to drive results.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial analysis and the ability to integrate financial insights into supply chain decisions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Strong knowledge of supply chain systems, ERP (SAP), and data management to support global alignment and optimization.
  • Transformational Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives within a matrix organization.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic and Innovative Mindset: Ability to think strategically, challenge the status quo, and lead with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
