Job Summary:


You will be supporting staff and entities within the EMEA region. You will be engaging in a variety of legal and administrative based tasks, including but not limited to contract management, company secretarial activities, invoices administration, legal research, liaising with stakeholders and other departments and responding to the queries addressed tot the legal department.


Initially, the primary work area will be contract review and management, company secretarial co-ordination and organising law firm billing. Related to these will be the expectation that the position will be instrumental in improving and implementing processes and efficiencies. The work will be done in collaboration with lawyers and under the overall supervision and direction of the EMEA Regional General Counsel and there will be independent and direct interaction with business partners.  The successful candidate will also provide general administrative support for the EMEA Regional General Counsel based in France and provide support for other legal counsels based in the region.


The ideal candidate will be an experienced legal operations administrator, contracts manager, company secretary or paralegal with excellent organisational skills and a can do attitude.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Contract Review & Document Maintenance
    • Review, draft and manage contracts and documents using standardized templates and ensure compliance with Sealed Air requirements and policies
    • Facilitate the contract review process and streamline the process flow between the Business Units and lawyers including coordination and fact gathering
    • Advise on proper execution of contracts
    • Updating and maintaining contract templates, contract databases and other knowledge management tools and ensuring they are up-to-date at all times for efficient file management and reporting purposes
    • Implement best practices for an efficient protocol for contract review
  • Company secretarial coordination and filings including support for corporate restructuring and M&A
  • Maintain a method for managing law firm billing and outside counsel budget
  • Efficient processes
    • Create and assist in establishing form documents for repeat/routine matters
    • Implementation of efficient processes
    • Administer processes that allow others to take on quasi- legal review and responsibility
    • Implementation of systems and change management
  • Day-to-day administrative and quasi-legal duties as assigned
  • Special Projects as required 



  • Education, Experience, Skills:
    • Diploma in law/paralegal certification/other comparable legal education or a law degree, or university degree in related fields such as business or finance and where law was studied
    • Minimum 3-4 years experience with similar work responsibilities as required here - in law firm, in the legal department of an multinational company
    • Working knowledge of contract law or company secretarial
    • Strong command of English - written and spoken
    • IT savvy with full knowledge and experience in Word, Excel and Powerpoint, OneDrive, Sharepoint and other internet-based tools and collaboration forums.
