What does a Quality Specialist do?
SEE Australia is looking for a motivated and experienced Quality Specialist to ensure a high standard of Quality performance across the plant including all manufacturing, logistics, planning and warehousing operations, and products to maintain the highest quality performance for the employees, and our customers (internal and external). This role will implement and ensure compliance with company policies, specifically pertaining to Quality, including FSASC 22000, FSC, ISO9001, Ethical sourcing, Halal, and other relevant legislative and accreditation requirements. This role is vital to this will be to carry out continuous improvement activities, and providing direction, support, and coaching to employees. This role will also drive Quality performance and improvement strategies / actions to achieve continuous improvement in plant and quality performance.

- Absolute commitment to the highest quality standards in the workplace to drive performance improvement by facilitating regular measured reviews with manufacturing departments and ensure new products and product extensions are introduced in a systematic way and ensure customer requirements are achieved.
- Proven experience (over 5 year of working experience) within a comparable industry, or similar role in order to be primary contact for all Quality Audits from certification bodies, customers and internal audit programs.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing / operations leadership role to provide leadership in quality improvement methodologies as part of the site leadership team.
- Possess a high standard of communication and problem-solving skills to act with urgency to protect the customer and expedite return to steady state.
- Comfort in motivating others and create change and compliance in all layers of the organization to coach and be a role model of the behaviors required to achieve excellent performance both within our plant and for our customers.
- Strong Customer focus and ability to present in sales / customer environment on topics of quality to ensure Monthly Management reporting of performance.
- Ability to create compliance within both owned manufacturing plants and contract manufacturers to design, implement and maintain an effective quality management system in accordance with corporate, regulatory or ISO certification requirements.
- Able to complete reasonable overtime in line with manufacturing commitments.
- Demonstrated ability to write reports, policies and procedures as well as being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software for the development of the above.
- Ability to work in a complex fast paced environment.
- Able to identify priorities from multiple requirements.
- Ability to influence outcomes without direct line authority.
