Job Description
Sealed Air is seeking a driven, team oriented, engineering professional to fulfill our current Software Engineering opening, located in Grand Island, New York. The qualified candidate will be responsible for software design, implementation, and release of customized solutions that interact and communicate with packaging equipment and e-commerce back-office programs and systems. The qualified candidate will be responsible for designing and developing custom apps to advance our printing technology in the area of adapters and control systems that link, integrate and drive proprietary and commercial equipment. The ability to handle multiple projects and priorities is critical. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as interact with cross functional team members and leaders. The ideal candidate must have the ability to design software applications with the following:
- Programming experience in C++, C#, .NET and related technologies
- Windows API
- Data Transfer Protocols
- Ethernet, USB and other data/digital interfaces
- Third party API/SDK/Frameworks
- Visual Studio 2010-2019
Qualifications
- BS degree in Software Engineering
- 5+ years of Software Engineering Design
- Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server, and Visual Studio Design suite
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and multi-task
- Knowledge of printing technology a plus with experience developing software interface solutions for system devices to include integration, communications, diagnostics and performance testing
