Job Description
- Design, implement and maintain effective quality management systems across the China supplier base in accordance with customer, SAC corporate, government regulatory or ISO certification requirements.
- Provide training, coaching and mentoring to suppliers leadership and staff to up skill there knowledge of SAC and best practice quality and manufacturing practices.
- Establish and rollout quality metrics to monitor performance and direct quality improvement projects.
- Conduct quality management system audits for potential suppliers to qualify their status to supply SAC.
- Ensure product specifications are in place for all products and integrated into the suppliers quality management systems. Ensure test methods and equipment (ie measurement systems) is in place to confirm SAC products conformance to the relevant specifications.
- Ensure new products and product extensions are introduced in a systematic way and ensure customer requirements are achieved.
- Liaise with other functions across SAC to ensure the voice of the customer is heard and the organization drives for total customer satisfaction.
- Ensure customer complaints and issues are addressed professionally, in a timely fashion and that corrective actions are taken by the appropriate people. Audit the effectiveness of CAPA to ensure root causes are addressed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing/operations leadership role.
- Exposure to leading continuous improvement methodologies in quality/lean. eg Six Sigma, TPS, etc.
- Able to travel for short / periods of time, intrastate/interstate/overseas.
- Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint, Excel – intermediate/advanced
- Strong Leadership Skills
