Job Description
- Supervision and support for three reports including work delegation and some performance management when required.
- Providing direction to the team to meet business objectives and KPIs
- First point of escalation for issues
- Monitoring of major machinery projects and machine movements involving the logistics team.
- runs MRP and places POs as required
- Ensures all POs are received and acknowledged by suppliers
- Monitors/ follows up on overdue Pos
- Builds constructive relationships with key suppliers
- Keeps internal customers updated as appropriate
- Control the cycle count process for the warehouse
Other tasks as required including back up for other team members
About the Person
- Leadership skills/experience
- Purchasing experience
- Customer service ethic
- ERP/MRP experience, preferably SAP
- MSOffice skills particularly Excel
- Able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Accurate numeracy skills
- High attention to detail essential
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Personal initiative to be able to act & resolve matters when necessary
- Applicant must be able to work with minimal supervision
