About the Role

Our maintenance department is critical to our operations at our Hamilton Plant.

Working on our Permanent Rotating Night Shift, our maintenance fitters provide shift coverage for production and attend breakdowns, complete repairs and perform general maintenance.

This is an all-rounder role and we’re looking for someone who can work as a team and roll their sleeves up to make a real difference to our site.

Key Job Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Working in a safe manner and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  • Completing maintenance repairs, including routine maintenance, testing and calibration on production equipment.
  • Carrying out modification and new installation works on equipment.
  • Performing machining and welding as required.
  • Work with the production team to support and assist them.
  • Adhering to Engineering ISO9002 Quality Assurance system and Food Environmental Policy requirements.

About the Person

To be successful in this role, you will have the following characteristics:

  • Able to work with a focus on Health, Safety and Quality.
  • Be a fully qualified fitter with sound maintenance experience.
  • Exposure to pneumatics and hydraulics would be an advantage
  • A can-do attitude and the ability to work in a team or unsupervised.
  • Have good fault finding and communication skills.
  • Have a good understanding in Lean & TPM.
