Your Responsibilities

Day to Day oversight of Hamilton based technical team and related resources.

Understand the end use of products, determining fitness-for-use of materials, and effectively advancing the specification development of new and derivative products.

Identify critical uncertainties, designing targeted experiments, rapidly building new prototypes, defining, and assessing fitness-for-use, and driving commercialization and scale up.

Work closely with the product groups to identify and optimize the resonator performance to meet critical final product parameters to enable game changing products in the market.

Understand and evaluate performance of relevant competitive product alternatives.

Drive process and device improvements through characterization, test, design of experiments, data analysis and simulation.

Drive the development project and refinement of new test methods and characterization techniques in partnership with other functions.

Obtain intellectual property protection - patents, trade secrets (if required).

Personal safety and the safety of others; maintain a safe and incident-free working environment.

Maintain materials database, including formulations, materials, and compliances.
What We're Looking For:
-
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in packaging, chemicals, or a related industry.

Strong people management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
-
Track record of implementing business improvement projects, including cost reduction and efficiency enhancements.

Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
-
Demonstrated aptitude in materials science, product design, food safety and customer filling applications.

Working knowledge of plastic flexible packaging manufacturing processes such as extrusion, flexo-printing, laminating and film conversion

Proven track record of identification and valuation of polymers and additives and translating ideas into significant commercial success

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to influence company and business strategy and decisions, to motivate high performance and negotiate win-win scenarios

Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, to affect decision making and keep the organization informed (English proficiency is a must); ability to author technical reports and to make presentations to various internal groups within Sealed Air

Business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively across functions, regions, and business divisions to drive results and ensure goal delivery
