Job Description

- Performs supply chain and logistics functions, such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution - Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers - Responsibilities are within the Supply Chain and Logistics Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Qualifications

Position Summary:

  • Monitoring and working with inventory levels for all received materials, produced product, shipped product, and lost materials and/or product.   Purchasing of all production materials and working with vendors

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase production materials
  • Create BOM’s for finished product
  • Work with finance to resolve issues
  • Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database.  
  • Cycle count and ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
  • Receive and issue finished good into computer database.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material is aging.
  • Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures.   Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  •  Comply with all policies, practices and procedures.  Report all unsafe activities to management.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; and six to twelve months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read a tape measure and use various hand tools
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Requires attention to detail and being thorough in completing work tasks
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Requires intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees of the company.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
