Job Description


The Highpoint, NC equipment manufacturing facility is part of our Protective Equipment portfolio. The site manufactures packaging equipment from carton systems, paper dispensing systems, and shrink wrap machines including Shanklin® automatic, semi-automatic, and multi-packing models utilized in many applications enabling our customers to package and protect a wide variety of their products.  

Position Overview: 
We are looking for an exceptional leader to be our Manufacturing Site Leader in Highpoint, NC. The Manufacturing Site Leader will oversee all daily plant operations while driving continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.  The Manufacturing Site Leader is responsible and accountable for effectively planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of the plant operations, which include Environmental Health & Safety, Quality, Production, Logistics, Inventory, Purchasing, and Financial Controls.

•    Ensures standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.
•    Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas.
•    Leads and directs the development and deployment of key operational initiatives within Performance Management System Parameters (factory utilization improvement, process capability enhancement, customer satisfaction, employee involvement, etc.) in support of Supply Chain Vision and Values.  
•    Works with Sales/Marketing, Engineering and Customers to understand and meet their needs.
 

Qualifications

Requirements:
•    BS/BA degree required.  Technical Degree preferred. 
•    Must have a minimum of 5 years industry-related experience, with at least 3 years in management desired.  
•    Ability to develop, monitor, and report key performance metrics and recommend corrective action as appropriate.
•    Must be adept at all phases of manufacturing processes:  Concept Refinement, Technology, Systems Development, Production and Deployment, Operations and Support.
•    Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
•    Must be Lean Six Sigma (MIN Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred). 
•    Must be able to effectively operate in a Matrix organization.
