Warehouse Associate

Summary

Shift: 1st or 3rd

Pay: $16.00 per hour plus $1.00 for the shift differential

Job Description

• Performs all work in a safe manner in accordance with safety policy.
• Accurately receives, stocks, picks, packages and ships materials through SAP for external and internal orders by due date.
• Checks and verifies accuracy of deliveries for material type, quantity of packages or skids, and destination address before signing acknowledgements with carriers.
• The crating and moving of heavy equipment.
• Documents all inventory movements according to established guidelines in SAP.
• Participates in team projects for continuous improvement, 5s organization, and quality.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of Warehouse

Qualifications

• •    Minimum of three years’ experience in Warehousing or Material Handling.
  •    The ability to lift fifty pounds and expert knowledge for the operations for all models of sit down fork lifts.
  •    Must be able to work as a team player, under production pressure with changing priorities, work unplanned overtime and 24-hour on call for emergencies as required.
  •    Ability to understand mathematical conversions in relation to unit of measures, and accurately audit materials in storage locations.
  •    Must have expert skills to design and build custom crates for large equipment that requires the operation of a nail gun, radial saw, table saw, and general power tools.
  •    Must be able to drive a twenty five foot box truck between locations with loads up to fifteen thousand pounds.
  •    Ability to receive, issue, and transfer materials within established SAP guidelines.
  •    Good written and verbal communication skills.
  •    The ability to use all SAP inquiry tools for materials and export data to a spreadsheet.
  •    Must be able to read drawings, understand Bill of Materials, ATP, and MRP.
  •    Coordinate the logistics and process shipments for all types of freight carriers including exports according to policy.
