Job Description
Position Summary:
The Team Performance Leader (TPL) is accountable for leading the daily operations and assisting the Management team as needed to meet shift performance goals. Additionally, the TPL will coordinate production requirements by communicating production priorities established through Production Management, Production Control, and Shipping, as well as ensuring orders are processed with an emphasis on safety, quality, food safety and productivity.
Pay: $26.50
Shift: Night
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer current programs to assure the health and safety of employees and meet OSHA requirements
- Provide assistance to CMTs for medical assistance
- Guide and direct department SEE
- Help ensure materials produced meet established quality standards
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are being followed in the department.
- Help analyze quality issues to determine root cause and communicate with appropriate parties to eliminate future occurrences.
- Drive and assist with the CAPA process.
- Analyze daily variance report to understand actions that need to be taken to achieve department goals.
- Assist in design, implementation, and administration of department improvement programs.
- Update and evaluate schedule reports to ensure orders are processed on time.
- Communicate with Production Control to help ensure efficient processing of second order releases, move-ups, ramrods and air shipments.
- Work with Production Control to help resolve schedule changes.
- Initiate inventory location balancing with operators and warehouse personnel to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Monitor production area activities and address issues appropriately. Advise management of employee issues that may require attention.
- Research and correct IDOC errors.
- Review and verify bin counts.
- Assist in researching and correcting orders.
- Prepare shift manning schedules to ensure proper coverage and production is achieved.
- Record attendance and document vacation and holiday taken.
- Verify time accuracy in E-Time.
- Document absenteeism and communicate unfavorable trend to the GPL.
- Monitor production activities (breaks, Tardiness, shift changes, etc.) and address issues appropriately, in a timely manner.
- Advise management of employee issues that may require their immediate attention to Safety, Quality, Production and Personnel issues.
- Assist in communicating and coordination of training.
- Tracking and documentation of “Pay for Performance” to provide proper and adequate feedback to Group Performance Leader (GPL).
- Perform SAP transactions for report processing for the Films group.
- Run daily, weekly, monthly numbers and provide information as requested by Management.
- Pull and post tier numbers for war rooms.
- Adjust inventory levels for supplies as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.
- Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word)
- Demonstrated safety commitment
- Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
- Assist and support “Lean initiatives” within the Films department
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- As a team member, follow all safety, quality, plant GMP and safe food handling rules
- Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.
- Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training.
- Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team.
- Flexible work schedule based upon project demands and business needs.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor degree preferred; Experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
